The RM 039 Tourbillon Aviation E6-B, The Ultimate Pilot Watch by Richard Mille

The RM 039 Tourbillon Aviation E6-B watch by Richard Mille is a real "condensé" of the brand's savoir faire when it comes to highly complex mechanical movement added to a distinctive design. This watch was first presented in 2012 as a work in progress and necessitated 4 additional years of development and testing before making it available as a limited edition of 30 timepieces.

Encased in a very light and confortable titanium case, this watch is constituted of almost 1'000 components and holds a tourbillon escapement mechanism. As a pilot watch, it naturally features a flyback chronograph function very helpful when you are navigating in dead reckoning conditions, but it also holds a very original timer function. Both these functions are activated through "standard" push buttons, though nothing is standard with Richard Mille! On the crown you will find an additional function selector that let's you switch from a winding position, to a GMT function and naturally to the normal time setting function. Regarding the date, you can adjust this one with a very convenient push button at 2 o'clock.

And for pilots, this watch also features a mechanical E6-B flight computer, which is a kind of sliding rule that let's you make many calculations and practical conversions by simply moving the bezel depending on your needs.
