Introducing: Montblanc novelties

Watches & Wonders 2023

Interview with Nicolas Baretzki, CEO of Montblanc, on the new Minerva timepieces, the Zero oxygen watch and how it was made, as well as on the icy version of the diver's edition.

The "distressed steel" of the Minerva case is made using a special technique of tumble-drying quartz, limestone, and steel together until the rusty texture appears on the polished surface of the case.

The glacier dial of the two other watches is not made from a meteorite, though it looks this way. It takes up to 30 meticulously prepared steps to create such an intricate design that reminds of the icy caves and caverns of la Vallée Blanche.
