Amida: The Renaissance of a 70s Icon

Born in the 1920s, Amida was a star of the Baselworld 1976 with its digital model, when the watchmaking community was standing at the doorsteps of the quartz crisis. Bold supernatural design, a non-conventional way of showing time with the LED-style display and mechanical movement inside. It was both appealing and innovative.

On April 23, 2024, Amida came back with its retro-futuristic style and more refined finishes thanks to watch designer Matthieu Allègre and founder of Depancel Clément Meynier, who joined forces to make this happen. This time, the automatic movement has a jumping hour module, a sapphire prism for the side display, and a clear ‘digital’ readout.

This first collector's series, the “Take-off Edition", will be available for a limited pre-order period from May 28th, 2024. So watch this video to learn more about how to get it.
