Arnold & Son’s Constant Force Tourbillon 11 & Angelus’ Chronograph
Watches & Wonders 2025
One of the screaming trends of the Watches and Wonders 2025 is the return to the roots. And it was impeccably realised by Arnold & Son and Angelus.
The Arnold & Son Constant Force Tourbillon 11 is a breathtaking limited edition of just 11 pieces in 18-carat yellow gold. With a 41.5 mm case and a hand-wound movement developed entirely in La Chaux-de-Fonds, it’s a celebration of history and innovation. The constant force mechanism is the centrepiece of the dial, delivering precision through a dual-barrel system that ensures 100 hours of power reserve. Created for the 260th anniversary of the brand, the A&S5219 movement was specially developed by Maison’s engineers and watchmakers to remain as faithful to the original movement as possible. Its roots go back to the legendary tourbillon regulator born from the collaboration between John Arnold and Abraham-Louis Breguet. The original tourbillon is now secured in the British Museum, while its newly created descendant is already sold out.
Angelus, on the other hand, decided to dive deeper into the Universe of its chrono movements. After the huge success of Instrument de Vitesse last year, the brand presented the new mono-pusher chronograph measuring 37 mm and packed with vintage flair. This retro-inspired gem channels Angelus’ golden era of chronograph mastery. With a mono-pusher integrated into the crown, a 30-minute totalizer, and a 20 km telemeter scale, it’s a tool watch wrapped in elegance. Available in Steel Rose, Steel Grey, and Yellow Gold White, it’s driven by a hand-wound in-house A5000 calibre.
