Old New Perpetual Calendar in 40 MM by Frederique Constant
Watches & Wonders 2025
The Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture by Frederique Constant makes a refined return, and it is smaller and better than ever!
Initially launched in 2016 as the most affordable perpetual calendar on the market, this new version steps things up with improved finishing, upgraded components (reduced number), and enhanced movement performance. Now housed in a slimmer 40mm gold-tone steel case, the watch takes on a more elegant, vintage-inspired look, complete with softened lines and tapered lugs. A stunning salmon dial is paired with hand-polished Dauphine hands and sleek, elongated indices along a classic railway minute track. The dial remains clean and well-balanced, showcasing the month and leap year at 12, day at 9, date at 3, and a moonphase at 6.
With its clean and sophisticated classical - even vintage - outlook, the heart of this watch is a contemporary beast. The new FC-776 Manufacture calibre, Frédérique Constant’s 34th in-house movement, now offers a three-day power reserve and is visible through a sapphire caseback.
